Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT TYPE OF ARTWORK IS NEEDED?  

To enable the best quality printing we require your logo / artwork in: A high resolution vector file in any of the following formats:

  • EPS Encapsulated Postscript file
  • FH Freehand files
  • AI Adobe Illustrator file format
  • PDF Portable Document File

(All of the above file formats need text converted to curves/paths)

FOR PRODUCTS BEING EMBROIDERED PLEASE PROVIDE A JPG FILE OF THE ARTWORK. (We also require this for quoting purposes).

THE FOLLOWING FORMATS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PRINTING:

  • TIFF Tiff files are not editable
    • There may be art charges for conversion of these file formats
  • JPG (apart from embroidering), BMP, GIF
    • These files are mainly used on websites
    • Web based art is too low in resolution for us to use to provide a quality print
  • DOC Word Documents are not suitable (There may be art charges for conversion of these file formats)
If you are unsure whether your artwork is okay, please send through the files you have and we will check them for you. Emailing Orders:
  • If you are e-mailing an order through, please e-mail it to sales@fatcatpromotions.co.nz, with your company name and order number in the subject box.
  • Always remember to send your artwork in one of our useable formats.
